Things that should consider before you purchase a Siamese cat as your family pet would include their maturity rate. A Siamese cat will become mature and able to breed at the age of 5 months, which is considerably earlier than most other cats, with this taken in to consideration, most vets will not neuter a cat until it is six months old, so you will need to keep a careful eye on your cat to prevent and accidental breeding of kitten litters. The other thing to consider when choosing a Siamese cat as a pet, is their voice. Siamese cats are well known for their noise. This is not always a bad thing, as if your cat is in trouble you will be able to hear it, however, the problem can arise with your neighbours, if you live in a built up area, your neighbours will not thank you for letting your cat meow in the garden at 3am. However, most Siamese cats are not this bad, and most peoples neighbours are very understanding when it comes to pets. Siamese cats are also known for shedding their coats. This happens with all cats through the summer months, and it can be a real problem keeping the excess fur under control for some cat owners, this is especially true for owners
